Juan Aburto Pavez

Technical Mechanical Engineer, University of Santiago of Chile.

Nearly 20 years of experience in systems administration, systems development and implementation not only mining projects but also in other related sectors, developed on the AVEVA platform. He has participated in projects at different levels such as conceptual engineering, basic engineering, detail engineering and construction, from the projects’ conception to start up in PDMS, until the closure and turnover, including video delivery. He has generated diverse systems that complement technical engineering information allowing to maintain data and information consistency and online publishing.

He has trained engineers and project leaders from numerous companies. Included in his previous responsibilities he has performed several roles from systems administration to the executive level of the engineering systems group. His professional experience is based on mining projects as well as mining companies such as: Cerro Casale, Quechua, Lobo Marte, Cajamarquilla, Hipogeno Carmen de Andacollo, El Toco, Codelco Chuquicamata, Salvador y El Teniente, Minera Escondida, Los Pelambres, Disputada de Las Condes, Carolina de Michilla y Compañía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi.
